Your faith questions are legit
But where do you get good answers? Google? YouTube? We invite you during these college years to connect with us & other students your age to get real answers to real questions like:
What is the purpose of my life?
Why is the world the way it is?
Is there any hope for things around me to get better?
How can God be real if _______?
How can I know if the Bible is true?
Is there a heaven?
Questions like these (& many others) deserve good answers. At this church, we aim to provide space for you to ask these questions, get honest answers, be allowed to doubt, and have a loving community who won’t judge you while you journey on.
We’re a safe place to try church
Come to our Sunday morning worship service at 10:30am. Here you’ll see how we worship, hear our teaching, see our inter-generational community, and get a feel for our culture. Here you’ll meet residents of Salem who can be your grandmas and aunts, brothers and uncles, and mentors and confidants for the next 4 years.
Come to our monthly dinner
Each month, Pastor Steven & his wife Sarah host a casual, home-cooked dinner in their home just for college students. We chat naturally about life and any questions you may be having about faith, Jesus, the world… anything! ALL are welcome, no matter where you are on your faith journey.
Need a ride to church or dinner?
We’d be happy to help arrange a ride to you. Reach out to Pastor Steven (865.323.4439; steven@firstbaptistchurchsalem.com) and he’ll help connect you with a ride to church.
